This NMD R2 is characterised by a soft knitted mesh upper which contours to the foot. Trademarked as Stretch Web, it’s an innovative material which is both lightweight and adaptive.
Just like that original release – the first and only collaborative NMD R2 – this pair showcases synthetic tape throughout. An overlay covers the heel in a contrasting shade of white, the same colour used for the Boost unit underfoot, laces and leather heel overlay.
To compliment that dark coloured upper, taped White Mountaineering insignia travels across the length of the toe box. Finally, a chunky Boost unit sits underfoot with an embossed pattern on the outside wall and an EVA plug to the inner side.
The White Mountaineering x adidas NMD R2 Black White is scheduled to release on Saturday 15th July via the following retailers. This will join a larger collection of footwear and clothing from the Japanese based street-wear brand.
