After having launched initially via Sneakers76, this Saucony quickly sold out making it a hugely sought-after shoe when it launches in a wider release. Here’s what you can expect from this one of a kind silhouette.
Sneakers76 look to their home town of Taranto – a picturesque coastal village in Italy – as inspiration behind this rework of the Shadow 5000. According to legend, it was founded by the ancient god Taras as a gift to Poseidon, who had sent a dolphin to rescue Taras from a shipwreck.
To capture this theme, Sneakers76 opt for maritime colour scheme with deep hues of blue hitting the heel and tongue. It’s complimented by a grey coloured sidewall and vibrant hits of red at the toe.
The premium suede of this sneak is complimented by perforated detailing across the sidewall and toe region while a tan coloured leather tab hits the tongue. Other unique features include the wood coated tab on the midsole and trident debossed tongues – a subtle nod to this mythological story. Finally, dual branding features throughout.
