Arriving as part of the ‘Wildflowers’ collaboration between Puma and New York designer, Sue Tsai, these spring-ready sneakers are a must add to your rotation. Inspired by her mixed media sculptured and acrylic-on-canvas creations, this release blurs the lines between high art, haute couture fashion, pop culture – and of course, sneakers!
Drenched in a Peach Beige/Orange Peel/Cherry Red colourway, the trainers are crafted from a neoprene and soft leather upper in abstract panels, which really let our imaginations go wild. We cam see the hand drawn red and green flowers riding up from the depths to new heights, representing ‘flowers gone wild’ and rising up to reclaim the planet from humanity!
Looking closely at the silhouette, there’s PUMA x SUE TSAI branding on the tongue and on the heel tab, while the Puma form stripe arrives in a contrasting black across the sidewall. This black is also seen on the rubber outsole which creeps out at the sides. Underfoot, a moulded modular IMEVA midsole ensures comfort for all day wear while the two lacing options (nude and black) let you customise to your own liking.
