Here we take a closer look at the Puma Basket x Sue Tsai ‘Cherry Bombs’ Nude.
Arriving as part of the Wildflowers collaboration between Puma and New York designer, Sue Tsai, this Basket silhouette is a spring-ready staple with a twist. Pulling from Tsai’s expertise in mixed media art, this basket silhouette fuses her signature stye with a much loved Puma silhouette.
Arriving in an official Powder Puff/Powder Puff colourway, these trainers are made from a smooth, soft leather upper in a nude/off white hue. Looking in close detail at the trainer, we can see the usual Puma sidestripe has taken a more subtle approach, as it is formed from tonal stitching across the shoe which is only just about visible.
The most striking part of the silhouette’s design has to be the wild flower that are winding their way across the sidewall and up to the lace unit. Bright red, white, and green stand out against the subtle upper – this pattern is again repeated on the inner sidewall.
Looking at the trainer from above, the lacing unit takes an asymmetrical design approach which starts widest at the top and gets narrower towards the toe vamp. Underfoot, a textured rubber midsole ensures comfort and support for an all day wear.
We can’t wait to cop these for spring. We’ll be styling them with pastel hued jeans and a slouchy sweater for an everyday casual look. If you’re loving the Puma Basket x Sue Tsai ‘Cherry Bombs’ Nude as much as us, head to the stockists listed below to cop!
