The Pharrell x adidas Tennis Hu are back, in a trio of colourways, and exclusively for women. Over the last year, we have seen this new silhouette come out to the public and on June 1, the Tennis Hu are being released in pretty pastel hues: “Talc”, “Icey Pink” and “Aero Blue”.
Pharrell Williams, mostly known for his work in music, film and now fashion collaborated with adidas last year with his first release, creating a breathable, comfortable sneaker. These sneakers boast a mesh like upper, giving flexibility and ease of wearing. The upper material, having a sock like feel, is made to make your feet feel as light and agile as possible. The EVA midsole and textile inner also extend this comfort for exercise or day to day use.
A repeat indented pattern covers the midsole of the Pharrell x adidas Tennis Hu and a stitched material covers the upper. The textures used for both aspects complement each other as the midsole looks like a magnified version of the stitching, a perfect balance.
3-Stripes are subtly embroidered into the sides of these sneakers, the same level of subtle branding that has recently been seen on the adidas Deerupt. A peach coloured tongue tab holds the information about both collaborators and matches the heel tab section of these sneakers.
