Adding another hit to their record, the accomplished duo has combined forces on this timeless pair of Humanrace Sambas. Pharrell and the design team at adidas decided to tone it down with their approach with these Sambas after a recent slew of loud colourways on the NMD Hu models. Dusting off the boxes at the Herzogenaurach archive, the silhouette’s DNA has been brought back to life with this Humanrace collaboration.
The classic white upper has been swapped out for a more modern “Beige”, that sits elegantly on top of a gum bottom, a sneakerhead staple. The 3-Stripes are also thicker and sewn to the upper by a zig-zag stitch, rather than the jagged cut we have seen on other editions. The Trefoil logo on the heel tab has been removed to replicate the more minimal branding that was found on vintage releases. Most notably, the elongated tongue on the Samba makes a return, giving you the same protection and feel that the original versions had. The outside of the shoe receives very little co-branding with the only sign taking place on the lettering by the stripes, making these a great pickup for both Humanrace and OG adi heads.
