Noah X Adidas SL72 Blue Green

The Noah x adidas SL72 Blue Green is part of the nautical-inspired Noah x adidas Originals Collection, the latest eco-friendly release from the brand with the Three Stripes and Noah NYC. Noah founder Brandon Babenzien drew inspiration for the sneaker from his fond memories of growing up in Long Island and his lifelong passions for running and aquatic sea life.

The Noah NYC x adidas Originals shoe marks a sustainable commitment from the German footwear giant and the NYC designer to reduce waste and protect the ocean by crafting the SL72 Blue Green from recycled ocean plastics. A high-performance recycled knit material developed by adidas and Parley Ocean Plastics entitled Prime Blue, was used for most of the sneaker’s construction.

In a nod to the footwear brand’s sporting heritage, the adidas SL72 is influenced by adidas’ archival aesthetics and combines Noah’s laid-back surfer style. Babenzien reworks the SL72 Blue Green adding hues of aqua green and ocean blue along with the recycled Prime Blue on the uppers and the subtle suede teal detailing on the forefront offset by black laces. To round off the Noah x adidas SL72 Blue Lush Red, there’s the shell-graphic Noah NYC logo on the tongues, a pristine white collar and a red accent lining the rubber outsole.
