In modern times, our consumption of non-recyclable materials undeniably stands at a high point. For a sportswear giant like Nike that produces an insane amount of carbon footprint due to their large manufacturing companies, it’s only right to start using reusable waste for a more sustainable future. Arriving as part of Nike’s “Move to Zero” campaign, the Nike TN Air Max Plus Regrind Black.
Using Sean McDowell’s legendary Air Max Plus as a canvas, Nike has reconstructed the trainers with recycled fabric and equipped them with the all-new Grind sole which is made from used textiles.
Predominantly hued in black throughout, the wavy tape overlays across the upper sports gradients of grey and silver for a stealthy look altogether. Nike’s iconic Swoosh logo then grace the lateral and medial sidewalls, joined with the silhouette’s famous hexagonal TN badge on the tongue and heel. Underfoot, a chunky midsole equipped with several Air Units ensures these are super comfortable all day long.
What is there not to love about this Nike Air Max Plus Regrind Black colourway? A streetwear staple created with sustainability in mind, these should be a no-brainer cop.
