After the success of the Air Jordan 4 “University Blue” that dropped in ‘21, Jordan Brand celebrates the legend’s collegiate basketball colours with this Air Jordan 5 release. A light blue Air Jordan iteration normally rolls around each year in time for spring, with the days getting brighter and people keen for more colour in their rotation. Combining a rich history, iconic features and an array of icy details is this Air Jordan 5 “UNC” that has sneakerheads already planning future outfits.
This isn’t to say we haven’t seen this colourway on the Air Jordan 5 before, with the Trophy Room and UNC football team Player Exclusive editions already introducing the silhouette to the palette. Although this iteration is the most accessible and coldest drops of the AJ5 that we’ve seen in a while, drawing in levels of attention not experienced since the Off-White versions in 2020. Of course the signature lace lock and 3M tongue return, with extra plush padding around the collar. A Team Jordan patch is stitched onto the heel, a feature we saw on the AJ4 that harked back to the NBA jerseys from the ‘90s. On the inside of each foot are the words “HEART.” and “SOUL.”, giving you the motivation you need while lacing these up.
The Air Jordan 5 “UNC” will drop on the 5th of March over on the SNKRS app as well as other relevant Nike retailers. Make sure to keep it locked over at The Sole Supplier where we can give you further updates and tips on how to pick these up!
