Over the past few years, the Air Jordan 1 Low has cemented itself within sneaker culture. As a low-cut version of the Air Jordan 1 High, it took some time before sneakerheads warmed up to the silhouette but since 2020, the AJ1 Low has only grown in strength. Leaping onto the scene is this “Alternate Bred Toe” edition that flips a classic colourway on its head.
This iteration plays on the AJ1 Low “Bred Toe” colourway from 2021, using the same palette to remix the colour blocking, resulting in this alternative version. Similar to the original “Bred Toe” edition, the white and red Sole unit returns, a feature seen on other classic colourways such as the “Chicago” and “Bred”. As usual, leather forms the majority of the upper apart from the foam tongue, seen here sporting a red embroidered Jumpman. Speaking of embroidery, the Wings insignia is once again sewn onto the heel, its black stitching contrasting the shade of red below. The most obvious change on this Alternate edition comes via the shoe’s side profile, as the change from a white to black sidewall panel becomes obvious with the addition of the overlaying white Swoosh. Of course, in keeping with the name, the toe box is doused in red, with the sunburst perforations confirming it’s business as usual.
Make sure you don’t sleep on this Air Jordan 1 Low “Alternate Bred Toe” because these could go flying off the shelves. These will be dropping on April 4th, so make sure to check into The Sole Supplier to find out how to grab your pair!
