Nike Air Jordan 1 High Zoom CMFT 2 Palomino Wild Berry

The Air Jordan 1 High Zoom CMFT 2 is the second update from the people over at Jordan brand to give the ’85 classic a contemporary makeover. The shoe has done well to pave a way within the community, as touching the sacred Air Jordan 1 is often deemed sacrilege amongst sneakerheads. That being said, the Air Jordan 1 Mid and Low were once looked down upon but now they’re all the rage, so who knows how the Zoom CMFTs will be received in a few years’ time. One thing we can be certain of is that this “Palomino Wild Berry” colourway is really highlighting the silhouette’s features.

Based on the Palomino breed of horses, the upper’s various shades of brown mimic the gold and white main that the animal is notorious for. The first part of the shoe which draws the eye is the purple used on the cut-out Swoosh. The shade beautifully sits against the suede sidewall and complements the various shades of brown found throughout the upper. The mango on the wings insignia and mesh collar helps detail the most updated section of the shoe, giving the shoe a well-deserved appreciation. The rest of the upper returns to the brown motif, which is slowly becoming a sneakerhead staple, set to soon rank amongst your classic gum sole. The perforated tongue provides extra breathability while the addition of the zoom unit below gives you that extra bit of spring in the usual ’85 style. The cream midsole is a final touch that helps reflect the combination of light tones and colourful hits above.
