Nike’s trail running ventures all lead back to the Air Humara, a shoe designed by Peter Fogg. Fogg had his hand at shaping the brand’s ACG, running and basketball divisions over his 20-plus years at the Swoosh, his creations spanning the Terra Humara in 1998 to the Hyperrev in 2015. After a brief hiatus since the Supreme collaboration and other general release colourways from 2018, Nike is back with a slew of fresh editions such as this “Green Maroon” pair.
A thick navy mesh underlays the Humara’s spoke-inspired panelling, its tightly woven knit preventing any snags or tears. A black leather toe guard and rear pull tab stay true to the Humara’s functional design, while 3M accents ensure you stay visible on road and the trail. A maroon Swoosh and Air branding are contrasted against dark green, a palette we’ve seen on Gucci-inspired footwear editions in the past such as the UNDEFEATED x Air Max 97 from 2017. The Humara’s distinct checkerboard midsole returns, which considering its ‘90s roots, look particularly contemporary.
The Nike Air Humara “Green Maroon” is set to release on the 28th of February so make sure you’re quick off the press because we think these could fly out. Check into The Sole Supplier for more information and updates on this drop!
