The Craig Green x adidas Graddfa AKH Carbon is a clean silhouette that is launching as part of a collaborative capsule between the brand with the three stripes and the highly-coveted London-based designer. The footwear selection was debuted during Green’s SS20 runway show which was presented at London Fashion Week Men’s.
He borrows the sole from a popular adidas Originals release from 2017 known commonly as the Kamanda. Craig Green is well-known for his conceptual approach to design, which is demonstrated perfectly here. He cites in an interview his concept was to mirror the sole of the sneakers across on the upper through the use of materials and textures.
This is instantly apparent on the Graddfa, with the upper showcasing the same intricately patterned appearance as the sole. Underneath the treads, classic branding such as the three stripes is still visible. The look is finished with Craig Green’s signature typeface logo embossed onto the heel unit on white rubber.
The Craig Green x adidas Graddfa AKH Carbon is a fresh take on an existing silhouette that garnered a lot of attention when it was seen on the runway. If you’re looking to pick up a pair on release, be sure to stay locked into The Sole Supplier to ensure you don’t miss out.
