The Craig Green x adidas Graddfa AKH Burgundy are part of a collaborative capsule launching between adidas Originals and London-based menswear designer Craig Green. The footwear styles were first debuted during Green’s SS20 runway show and have since caused quite a stir amongst fans of high-end fashion and also sneakerheads.
This burgundy pair borrows the sole unit from the adidas Kamanda, a silhouette that launched in 2017. Craig Green’s concept when designing his collaborative footwear was to create shoes that effortlessly displayed his creativity – he chose to attempt to mirror the sole of each shoe across the uppers.
The designer sampled the intricately textured Kamanda sole and replicated the same effect across the upper using a layer of heavy-duty rubber. The final creation allows the classic adidas details to be seen through the translucent rubber, such as three-stripe branding and a contrasting heel panel. The look is finished with embellished Craig Green branding at the heel and tonal burgundy slimline laces.
The adidas Craig Green Graddfa AKH Maroon are set to launch soon via the list of select retailers above, and it’s certain that there will be a level of hype surrounding the release. Will you be looking to add this high-end collaboration to your rotation?
