The adidas NMD R1 Green is a JD Sports exclusive release, only available online and at select retailers. Aside from the handful of images posted by JD, these shoes have managed to go under the radar. Despite the lack of hype and pre-release buzz, the silhouette has been hugely popular as sizes continue to sell out.
It’s all thanks to the dark green colourway which looks especially good on the contemporary lines of the NMD. Everything remains true to the iconic R1 model with tightly woven mesh that promises lightweight comfort and durability. The addition of three stripe branding to the sidewall adds an element of protection while a neoprene heel overlay avoids any irritation to the heel.
To compliment that eye-catching colour of the base, a set of green speckled laces are included and tonal EVA midsole plugs contrast against the white Boost midsole. This offers the best in cushioning, bringing that re-energising bounce which has made this range so desirable.
